The Word: “Saint”

✨ The word “saint” in the Bible means:

✨ set apart for God
✨ consecrated
✨ separated from what is common for a divine purpose

It does not necessarily mean that a person is perfect or never fails. 🙏

When the Bible says that we are saints, it is referring to people who have decided to belong to God and live for Him. 💛

📖 The main idea of being “holy” or a “saint” is:
“set apart for God.”

That is why God says:
📖 “Be holy, because I am holy.”
— 1 Peter 1:16

This means:
✨ living to please Him
✨ walking in obedience
✨ allowing Him to transform our hearts
✨ turning away from sin and from anything that separates us from God

In the New Testament, many letters begin by saying:
📖 “To the saints who are in…”
referring to believers and followers of Christ.

So then:
✔️ A saint does not mean “superhuman”
✔️ A saint does not mean “perfect”
✔️ A saint means belonging to God and being transformed by Him every day ✨

There is also another beautiful meaning:
Holiness reflects the character of God:
✨ purity
✨ truth
✨ love
✨ justice
✨ light

That is why the more we know God, the more He produces holiness within us. 🙏📖
