This morning, I woke up with the following verse on my mind and heart:

Jeremiah 6:16: “Thus says the Lord: Stand by the roads and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is; and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.”

Let’s think about this:
This verse calls us to stop, pause, evaluate, and look back—to reconsider the path we are walking. It urges us to reflect on how we are living this precious life that we’ve been given, a life we only have the opportunity to live for a time.

This verse also challenges us not to conform to the ways of this world or the mindset of the age. Instead, we are called to search, inquire, and discover the paths that connect us to God’s eternal and unchanging principles. By doing so, we can find the life God desires for us, a life with purpose and direction.

God doesn’t want us to live aimlessly. He wants us to walk the “good way,” a path that brings peace, purpose, and rest for our souls.

Romans 12:2King James Version

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
